SPORTS: Falcon's nest nets victory over Amador Valley

Original post made by Huh ?!?, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Jun 3, 2011

Well, that was a clever response to the question of why the thread was deleted (subject: Foothill basketball)...basically, a non-answer from Pleasanton Weekly! Freedom of expression is being suppressed by PW and certain Foothill individual(s). As a result, it's reflecting badly on Foothill HS basketball. Your great idea is simply getting slammed right back at you.

Here's a suggestion: either bring back the thread or eliminate ALL of the discussions regarding Pleasanton HS basketball.

As the saying goes(in this case):

You can't have your'll get smushed right back in your face!

Who would support a Pleasanton Forum site independent of PW?

But then I guess it could go wild with Profanity, Character Attacks, Insensitive Remarks and what not!

Just thinking loud...

Thank You PW for getting rid of these threads of attacks of underage kids and coaches who are trying to work with these players.

i saw what was written before Gina (mz prez) shut down the Falcon nest thread, looked like she or someone removed part of a post that said something about they aren't newsmen.

@ Thank You this is for you. PW did not shut down all of these threads that target players, coaches, families, they're still there. The only thread that got taken down the one about hiring practices at Foothill and discussion over who was going to be the varsity basketball coach. if they took down all of the threads that's one thing but they are only picking out which ones we are allowed to read. sounds like propaganda to me.

and really, that discussion thread wasn't nearly as bad as some of the other ones! i guess because the other ones were against amador players? but PW chose to shut this one down because it was making foothill look bad.

@ Huh ?! is right it's actually making foothill look like a bunch of hyper sensitive babies.

It appears that Pleasanton Weekly's sole intention was to simply bury the comments that Foothill parents had about their own basketball program. If they intended to get rid of attacks of underage kids, they would have deleted threads from the past that, to this day, are still in the TS Forum!

Bottom line, this is just adults covering the you-know-what of other adults. There is no noble act here that signifies that they are protecting underage kids.

What say ye, PW? Are you only going to allow an infantile article regarding a pro-Foothill basketball game, and delete discussions about adults that you deem anti-Foothill? And yet keep past threads that bash underage kids from both Pleasanton schools?!?

i love how pw makes it so you have to sign in and register to be involved in the forum and we have to start a new one so that no one has to register.
how about we have to register for all of them so we can see all the cowards go away. because all of you out there who talk "trash" behind a fake name is a COWARD

To the one calling people "cowards":
Aren't the people that pulled the foothill thread the actual cowards? Also, focus and try to keep up with us here. The issue is that those adults can't seem to handle the heat while underage kids are being attacked on this pw forum. I hope your head hasn't exploded yet while trying to comprehend the issue. And btw, we don't see you posting your true name...IF you are a person of such great courage?? Ah, the ironies of life!
