Good news for schools!

Original post made by School budget not as bad?, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on May 23, 2011

"After issuing thousands of preliminary layoff notices, drafting budgets with deep cuts and listening to sky-is-falling scenarios that would shorten the school year by a month, California schools now face a startling possibility: There actually may be the same amount of money as this year."

I also heard recently that our Governor had discovered a few billion dollars spare in the state treasury. Nice. Some of it will reach us, but it sure begs the question as to why we were fed a "rapture doomsday" scenario with Measure E when we will actually be getting more money. For those of us who did support Measure E, it leaves us with a sense of being conned which is not good.

I for one voted for E but I'm sorry I did and I'll never vote for it again. All the corruption in the Govenor's office makes me sick. Now he's taking that extra money and funding the unfunded liabilities that are in our classrooms. I was conned and I'm thinhking about asking for my vote back. Its just so irresponsible and unaccountable for the Govenor to make these kind of unsustainable decisions which slap us former E voters right in the face. Mark me as: I want my vote back.

We never needed Measure E in the first place. That's why I wanted specificity in the language all along. It was all a ruze to get us backing the unsustainable liabitliles the we call teachers in this area. Their salaries and pensions are uttery outrageous. And these no accountability at the top because the unions are corrupt and cut every bodies knees so that can't stand up and tell them how irresponsible they are as they bankrupt a state that was once beautiful but now is overflooded by bloated contracts that lead to busnesses flying away to other states.
