Can someone define a water/splash park? I've never heard the term.
Uncelehomerr, I think Lindsay is talking about regular parks with play structures that also have structures that spray out water for children to play in. There is one by the tennis courts off Valley and Hopyard, where children push buttons and water pops up in different places (if they haven't changed it since my last visit). She isn't talking about water slide parks like the one off Stanley of the one in San Jose.
Lindsay I don't know of any other one's in Pleasanton but Dublin/San Ramon has a few. There is one near the Safeway in Dublin off Tassajara Road- near the newer looking apartments. I think if you go down and turn left like you're going to the jail you'll see the park. I think it's called Emerald Glen Park. The other one is Shannon Park, if they haven't changed it, that has a water area for children to play in.
Gleason Rd. in Dublin.
How does 200+' of 3mm mylar spread down the backside of Kottinger Park sound? Can you say "worlds largest slip & slide" A hose or two & you've got an easy way to have some serious fun!
There's the water slides in Antioch. It's about a 30 minute drive but it's worth it. It's only about $6 or $7 to get in there. My kids have a blast all day! And it's never over crowded like the water slides in San Jose.
In San Ramon there's a beautiful playground with lots of water. I don't know the name of it, but its off the Bollinger Canyon exit (680 North) Make a right off the exit, pass the Whole Foods/Borders/Target shopping center on your left, and make a left at an intersection soon after , the third one maybe (imprecise, I know, sorry, can't remember street names). The park is immediately on your left after you make that left at the intersection. There's tons of parking because it's a VERY large park.,
There's also a real water park ( a mini-WaterWorld) in Fremont.
Thanks for the suggestions, we will check them out!!
Try the water park in Livermore at the Community Center on East St. It has all sorts of water activities.
Central Park in San Ramon is the large one with plenty of parking.
