Do you know how we got access to this tape?
Besides being vigilant I don't know what more we (as citizens) can do.

S -- Thank you for your interest. There is plenty one can do at the local level to make a difference.

This videoclip was obtained thru the organization (below) headed by Brigitte Gabriel, author of "Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror" and "They Must Be Stopped: Why We Must Defeat Radical Islam and How We Must Do It". They are terrific books and a must read for all Americans...especially since you will not hear about this from mainstream media.

Also, go to her website where you can sign up to receive e-newsletters to learn more...and to help become an local area organizer. Go to her websites ...

Another way we can help is to vote our local congressman, Jerry McNerney, OUT OF OFFICE, because he continues to weaken our national defense.

Note his voting record below on major defense initiatives...

Vote H2007 -- 99
This resolution opposed President Bush's early 2007 plan to increase troop numbers in Iraq, a plan commonly known as the "surge". The surge proved to be highly successful in establishing stability, decreasing terrorist attacks, and decreasing the number of American casualties in Iraq. This resolution passed by a narrow margin.
ACT! for America opposes this resolution. A vote against this resolution is in agreement with the position of ACT! for America.

McNerney voted FOR this amendment.

VOTE H2007 -- 364
This amendment sought to prohibit funds authorized in the bill from being obligated or expended to plan a contingency operation in Iran. It would tie the hands of U.S. military planners and could severely undermine our ability to develop options to deal with the growing and imminent threat of Iran acquiring nuclear weapons. The amendment was defeated by a narrow margin.
ACT! for America opposes this amendment. A vote against this amendment is in agreement with the position of ACT! for America.

McNerney Voted FOR this amendment

VOTE H2007 -- 836
This legislation amended the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act of 1978 (FISA) to include a warrantless surveillance program targeted at communications from people outside of the United States. A requirement to obtain warrants to monitor foreign communications undermines America's ability to act quickly to gather intelligence vital in combating terrorism. The legislation passed by a narrow margin.
ACT! for America supports this legislation. A vote for this legislation is in agreement with the position of ACT! for America.

McNerney voted AGAINST this legislation.

Here is a link below which provides more information on congressional votes related to select defense bills. Note that in general the Democrats vote AGAINST measures that would strengthen our national defense.

This isn't about scare tactics. It is about reality. American's need to do their homework, read and learn, and wake up to what IS their belief and how they DO feel about us.

It is also worthy of note that a "hidden tape" was released from a mosque here in the Bay Area where chants of hatred towards American are recorded. It surfaced in local media and then disappeared, never to be seen again.

Unless you've forgotten what happened in Oklahoma, check out the SPL hate groups map. Anyone of these groups can kill you just as dead as a foreign terrorist. Is this reality of what?

Study the web page and read the intelligence report. Have a nice day...

S --

You’ve now seen the link to a video of an Islamist matter-of-factly discussing how easy it would be to smuggle anthrax across our border and kill over 300,000 people. Since then over 40,000 people viewed the video, demonstrating the reach “ACT! for America” currently has.

Juxtapose that video with the comments recently made by Homeland Security director Janet Napolitano. As the commentary below notes, Napolitano referred to Islamist terrorism as “man-caused disasters.”

What can YOU do TODAY that will help America take one more step forward in combating this lunacy?
First, forward this email to everyone you know, and urge them to log on to www. actforamerica . org and sign up for daily email alerts.

And second, call the Department of Homeland Security “Comment Line,” 202/282-8495, and let them know, in a firm but respectful way, that you are outraged and deeply concerned by Napolitano’s characterization of terrorism.

So you're saying the result of terrorism, and I don't care whether it's al-Qa'ida, Hizbullah, Hamas, the IRA, or one of our own home-grown variety white supremacists, is not a “man-caused disaster”? If not caused by man, who do you think carries out the acts of terrorism, violence and brutality we see in the world? Outer space beings? Give us a break.

Janet Napolitano refuses to acknowledge or even use the term "Islamic" when referring to terror. The term "Islamic" or "Radical Islamic" has been completely replaced by the term "man-caused".

The Democrats refuse to acknowledge radical Islam as the enemy of Western civilization.

I have a problem with that as should anyone who loves America and the Western civilization. My question to you is WHY don't you? Or don't you care that the goal of Islam is to conquer the US, Israel and other western cultures? They already have conquered the formerly western country of Lebanon because of their formerly uber-tolerant attitude. And they will conquer the US when citizens like you allow them to.

Terrorists are, to use a collective term, men. They can, and do, come from any country and any religion, or not be faith-based at all. Acts of terrorism are abhorrent no matter who completes them and should not be tolerated by anyone.

From your posts you obviously have a political, religious and/or ethnic agenda that is more than speaking out against terrorism. I've had my say and will not stoop any further into your zeal.

Apologies if I am so forward that I repel normally America loving citizens, assuming you are one.

My main zeal is that I love the US and want to preserve what American culture we have remaining. I was once very welcoming of "multi-culturalism" in the US, however I have since realized that words matter. I believe what many US citizens should welcome in not "multi-culturalism" but rather "multi-ethnicities." We should only promote one culture in the US and that is American culture. If we don't we will lose it altogether. Many immigrants into the US do not care about ever assimilating into our American culture...and now many Islamists want to live under Sharia law in the US, have Sharia banking laws, etc.

If you haven't yet read the books by Brigitte Gabriel, I would encourage you to do so...
"Because They Hate" and "They Must Be Stopped" (google them or here is an Amazon link for more info...

(Again, apologies if I was too forward earlier.)

Rae, I think you and * are arguing from the same side of the aisle...

Terrorists must be stopped, whether from Islamic fundamentalism (or Islamic radicalism) or from White Supremacists. The question isn't whether they're bad, the question is what should we do about it.

If a group has pledged the destruction of America, they should be stopped NOW, before they actually attempt anything more. If a group in the US has pledged that American laws mean nothing to them, they should be deported NOW, before they hurt someone in the name of their own laws. It doesn't matter what we call them, or what they call themselves. Just stop them.

Here you go Cholo...the diff between ethnicity and culture...

ethnicity is genetically based
culture is generally socially based and can be comprised of individuals from different ages and ethnic backrounds ie..biker culture, university culture, 12 step culture, survivors of cancer, the gray panthers ect..Ethnicity refers to the people group you are born into. Culture refers to the distinct societal norms within an Ethnic group.culture is wat most ppl have and ethnicity refers to latinos because nobody like usEthnicity refers to their physical self (body). Culture refers to there behaviors.I believe that ethnicity refers to people, whereas culture refers to the things they do.Ethnicity is not something you can's basically your race. The culture you deciede to live by, you can choose. You can even change if you want.ethnicity is race in terms of where you came from (caucasian, asian, black.)

culture covers a much broader range of detail, such as religion, and anything specific to an ethnicity (dragons, for example, represents chinese culture.)Culture being the type of socity albeit behaviour that we live in; Ethnicicity obviously being our heritage.culture is but what we live by. ethnic is our background and roots. culture is a society that is created by many. ethnic can be apart of the culture or against it.cultures you can change, but ethnics can't as you are who you are.culture is a nation, town, city, tribe (ect.) and ethnicity is of the color of your skin or details on your face. ex) if someone was from hong kong china their culture would be chineese and their ethnicity would be asian.ethnicity is who you are where you come from, your blood line and culture has has more to do with your beliefs, what your taught.

Cholo ... or anyone else...

I am curious to learn what you think of the following information. Do you believe Muslims should be provided special mortgage programs because they do not believe in paying interest?

This is one example where an ethnic group is trying to change our culture in the US.

Read on...

Minnesota state agency offers Islamic mortgages

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - For many Minnesota Muslims, it's been virtually impossible to buy a home, because Islamic law forbids the paying or charging of interest. To help close the home ownership gap among Muslim immigrants, the state's housing agency has launched a new program offering Islamic mortgages.

Islamic law does make exceptions to the ban on interest, if one's family is at stake. But the exceptions are open to interpretation and for many observant Muslims, conventional mortgages are strictly taboo.

Nawawi Sheikh is one of them. The Somali-American said he and his wife just couldn't go against their beliefs, even if it meant giving up their dream of owning a home. Still, he grew tired of moving from one rented apartment to another.

"One thing I hated was moving. I don't like to move all the time," he said.

He has no plans to move again anytime soon. Sheikh is the first home buyer to get a loan through the state's New Markets Mortgage Program. That's because, program manager Nimo Farah said, he has all the makings of a successful homeowner.

"I had lots of applications, but he's the first one, because really, he was ready. He has been working at the same job for quite a while; he took care of his credit; he had the right size family, and he had all his documents together," she said. "He was basically ready to go."

The program is targeted at low-to-moderate income families. Qualified applicants have to complete first-time home buyer education classes. The goal is to help Muslim home buyers build wealth and reap the benefits of home ownership.

Here's how the mortgage, known as Murabaha financing or "cost plus sale," works:

The state buys a home and resells it to the buyer at a higher price [emphasis added]. The down payment and monthly installments are agreed to up front at current mortgage rates.

The deal is identical to a thirty-year fixed-rate loan, except there's no additional interest, because the higher up-front price factors in payments that would have been made over the life of a traditional mortgage.

A handful of private banks and lending institutions offer Islamic mortgages in the U.S., but Minnesota Housing is the first state agency to offer such a product. The program is the brainchild of Hussein Samatar, director of the African Development Center in Minneapolis.

"The process is different, but the outcome will look the same," Samatar said. "We wanted to be as conventional as possible, while respecting the tenets of Islam."

Samatar, who used to work for Wells Fargo, tried for years to launch Islamic financing. He said the fact that Minnesota Housing has agreed to participate is a nod to the Muslim community's growing economic power.

Chicago-based Devon Bank is underwriting the loans for the New Markets program. Devon is one of the largest Islamic lenders in the country. Corporate Counsel David Loundy said he expects the demand for Islamic financing to grow as more Muslims make their home in the U.S. Loundy said Muslims tend to be good risks.

"If they worked so hard to get to this country, they don't want to screw it up now that they are here, so they tend to pay their debts pretty promptly," said Loundy. "In addition, you have a population that is religiously and culturally predisposed against having debt, so they want to pay down their debts as quickly as they can."

The numbers back this up. In its five and a half years offering Islamic lending, Loundy said Devon Bank hasn't lost a penny, though he admits the recession could make that record difficult to sustain as more borrowers face job loss.

But the bad economy is also offering opportunity. With housing prices at rock bottom, officials say the timing couldn't be better to match first-time Muslim buyers with foreclosures that need new owners.

Nawawi Sheikh's new three-bedroom south Minneapolis home is a former foreclosure. The African Development Center's Hussein Samatar said there are thousands more potential buyers like Sheikh out there. He said the New Markets Mortgage Program will help the Minnesota Muslims community put down strong roots.

"It is great news for the country, and it really sends a great signal that the United States is our country," he said.

It sounds like they are still paying "interest" but it is paid upfront (factored into the price of the house) and not calling it that. If the company that is selling these loans wants to go through the trouble of writing up a different type of contract, I don't have a problem with it.
