This is an incredibly weak opinion at so many levels.
Name-calling is a sure fire method to show your true stripes.
The simple fact that 47% of Americans voted for John McCain doesn't mean they believe Obama is a "dope." I'm sure some do, but many others voted for who they thought was the best candidate. It doesn't follow logically that Obama is necessarily a dope.
What are your issues with liberal policy? You call out the policy, but no detail at all on the specific issues you disagree with.
Why don't you make some specific suggestions as to how we can better run our city, state, and country?
What help is on the way that you are speaking of?
Why does so much of the political discourse have to be so polarized? There are so many issues we need to work together on that have to be resolved, especially with the dire state of our economy.
This person's letter to the editor embarrassingly demonstrates what is so wrong with our current inability to work together to solve our most pressing issues.
Looks like someone is listening to too much Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. By the way, Guy Houston couldn't even win the race for Contra Costa County Supervisor, and he will get creamed if he runs against the Jerry McNerney. Sorry conservatives, the demographic shifts in Pleasanton and Tri-Valley are only making the area more liberal. I suggest you move to Bakersfield or Texas so you can be around more of your ilk.
Name calling is what you do when you can't think of anything else. The conservative agenda, if that is how you characterize the last administration, has gotten us where?
The largest deficit in history after an administration with a surplus and an approval rate that was the among the lowest, if not the lowest in history.
An administration that purported to be anti big government increased the government's interference in states rights as well as personal liberties.
Favoring big business has gotten us into a situation where we see the business fail or bail it out with our tax dollars. This seems palatable for some and at the same time can't see fit to make sure children have an education and adequate health care.
Welfare state? Sure, if you are a corporation. I am ready to at least try something else.
Is this the same guy who coaches at Foothill? After this comment i'm sure people will be talking about him for a long long time and it won't be nice...
Alas a Pleasanton resident who is not mesmerized by the new Messiah! All idols have clay feet, and a man who professes to "not believe in a God who would condone the killing of innocent lives" (prayer breakfast quote), yet supports abortion on every level, is a phony. BO's smart; he's articulate; and he's got the public mesmerized--but at his core, something is missing and he will never be a great man unless he changes his heart. Same with McNerney -- pro-abortion politicians will never go down in history for their greatness. (Observe Bill Clinton -- what a shameful decline!)
