Original post made on Jan 14, 2009

This will be interesting as the amount of people buying tickets every year has been on the increase. Last year, it was quite a chore to even get a bite or a glass of wine.

Now with Acc'sentials gone, Domus, and a few others, it'll be a bit more of a chore.

Domus never participated in that event and the PDA never sells more than 800 tickets for it. Every year is a sell-out. What I have noticed is that it SEEMS to be so much more crowded because half the people think it is a "stroller friendly" event! Come on parents, leave the kids at home and have a night out at an adult event. The rest of the adults will appreciate it!

I agree with 'resident', why can't there be some event just for the adults. Mary is probably the same kinda person that would bring a baby into a movie theater and doesn't care who it bothers.

Points taken, resident! However, some of the other shops that have closed down DID host. I expect lines to be longer and that much harder to get a sample. Which may be a good thing so people aren't driving home after while having had a lot to drink.

It's interesting that those same people who bring strollers are okay with drinking then driving with their kids in the car back to their house. Hopefully one of the parents plays designated driver.

Please, please keep the info real and worth our time to read it people. The downtown needs the extra foot traffic lately. I hope it is a great night out for all Adults, that can buy a ticket. It's a great way to take a good look at what the downtown has to offer, drinks, some wine and have good, Adult, time with friends. The put downs and negativity gets old really quick. GROW UP!

Domus did participate. I tasted El Sol wine at Domus during one of the wine strolls.

Soccerman... we are all in favor of the foot traffic and ADULT participation. This is NOT an event for kids so please, please leave them at home. We have not even one event in this town that prohibits kids, this is one where common sense should prevail and kids should be left at home. Note that the only put down or negativity came from Mary. I will add that no one (I did not say "people like her") should bring a screaming kid to the movies, a restaurant, on a plane, into a store, or anywhere else. If you cannot, or will not, control your kids, do not put them into public situations that should be calm and enjoyable for everyone else.

Bring your kids, drink a lot, then drive home. Brilliant.
