Interesting to read this. A few weeks back when Dublin announced the opening of their array of "charity" fireworks vendors, I wrote questioning the continuing charade in Dublin. Every year "legal" fireworks are sold hypocritically alongside banners proclaiming them safe & sane and "Dublin Does Not Tolerate Illegal Fireworks". I noted that they are still illegal in Pleasanton and yes, have restrictions even in Dublin, and Alameda County.
I was hit back with comments on what was my problem with a little fun. If you've ever had to put out a small fire on your roof from a bottle rocket, or on your lawn, you'd know whay I felt that way.
And: "Miller reminded the public that all fireworks, even those designated "Safe and Sane," are illegal in Pleasanton."
Lets put an end to Dublin's little game.

Well, Hmmm you should come to Dublin and visit a firework stand, they don't sell bottle rockets so your roof fire did not start from a firework sold by a Dublin charity organization. My guess is it was started by some Pleasanton resident breaking the law with an illegal device.

If you don't want fireworks from Dublin, don't buy them. In over 30 years I have never seen anyone in Dublin forced to buy fireworks, they appear to do it of free will.

Here is a project for you Hmmm, bike safety in Pleasanton, dogs eating at restaurants on Main Street, why don't you pick something a fix it instead of bitching about fund raising methods you don't happen to like?

cholos case is empty. He's got a case full of blues. He is a sad case. And just in case, you're wondering, yes, cholo is retired with lots of time on his hands. A case a beer, a computer and lots of time on his hands, just in case you wanted to your case, cholo.
