Outrage Against the Obama Machine at Fevered Pitch: All Tea Party Groups Are Non-Partisan Social Welfare Groups, Didn't the IRS Know?

Original post made by Freedom Sometimes Must Come at the Expense of Others, Bordeaux Estates, on May 18, 2013

The outrageous inquiries made by the IRS of groups committed to abolishing America's tax system continues to boggle the minds of ordinary citizens.

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew, in an interview with Bloomberg TV today, stated that he met with the inspector general closely after assuming his post, but he was presented only with a list of ongoing investigations, not specific details of the audit on conservative groups.

“From the moment I learned about it, I was outraged,” he said. “It is a matter of the highest priority that the IRS be beyond suspicion in terms of its integrity. Here we had numerous anti-taxation, tea party groups that are so adamently opposed to social welfare that it borders on hate. Now, when they make the claim that half of their use of funding goes to social welfare we should believe them, right?."

Lew continued, "An IRS with integrity would simply allow these anti-tax, social welfare hate groups to operate beyond even a scintilla of suspicion. That's why our inquiries were so utterly outrageous."

Seeking legislation germane to the organization's programs is a permissible means of attaining social welfare purposes. Thus, a section 501(c)(4) social welfare organization may further its exempt purposes through lobbying as its primary activity without jeopardizing its exempt status.

This is such a typical TEA Party scandal--rules, facts and the laws of gravity only apply to everyone else.

b, do you think the IRS under this administration is impartial and ethical? Do you approve of the arrogance and lawless conduct of the lame duck president? How about the statments he and his minions keep repeating about not being aware of the various scandals embarassing his administration until they read about in the press?
Just that admission alone speaks volumes about his ability to govern.
I must admit though, you obama apologists are sure manage to stick by your boy not matter how badly he screws up this country.
