1. Having custodians prop open doors without supervising who might enter is unacceptable and should be grounds for discipline, including termination of services.

2. Not doing a room-by-room sweep by PPD during the initial call is unacceptable.

3. PPD Upper Brass failing to notify the school principal is unacceptable.

4. PPD not doing a follow up sweep of the campus is unacceptable.

This is the same police chief who said several months ago, regarding a spike in thefts of catalytic converters- (paraphrasing) It’s not a big deal, it’s just a property crime. He needs to refresh his training regarding the Broken Window Syndrome.

I’m very concerned that our city management is following the lead of our county district attorney, Pamela Price. The script includes downplaying criminal activity in affluent communities under the premise that those committing the crimes are should be given leniency- from arrest to conviction (usually downgraded to a misdemeanor or release with adjudication).

Be very aware of who you vote for and hold community leaders accountable to we the people.

Other portions of the current "script": everyone who comes in contact with the police either "needs help" and/or is being unfairly profiled/singled out because of their race.
