The combination of smaller but more frequent trains resulting in a good balance of "eyes" while still having a seat, better service on evenings, and visible police and ambassador presence on BART have all been a positive improvement in recent months.
It's my understanding the new service has bigger gaps between trains in the tube and more turnaround time for operators, meaning less chance of a domino effect causing transfers to miss.
Still more to do, I'll be watching the reliability of the new trains and they still need to fix the wet weather problem much faster, but it's a start.
