It would be helpful to tell us how much land the one white resident owned who got such a big payment for the land. A recent TV news interview with several former residents included descendants of three white families who got the same payments as everyone else. Perhaps the big payment was for a substantial amount of land vs one plot for a house. Details and facts matter.
