Much of this gender theory comes from John Money's experiments in the 1960s on David Reimer. Look it up if you must, but be warned.

That being said, the teachers that promote this are either 1) ignorant 2) complicit
(I seriously hope it's #1)

I’m sorry to see the bias in the Weekly’s reporting of this story, starting with the description of Linda Hurley “wading” into the meeting of the San Ramon School District meeting. Really? So just because she wasn’t expressing her concerns to her own school district, concerns that we all should have about age-appropriate materials to which our children have access, Ms. Hurley is being labeled as an embarrassment? This has nothing to do with book-banning but rather the ever-growing culture in California especially of liberal intolerance. I applaud Linda Hurley for her common sense.
