Back in the early days when negotiations were getting underway between city staff and Costco. I sent an email to Nelson Fialho. I asked Nelson to include a clause "that if Costco is bought out by a mega corporation, that Pleasanton's debt be forgiven."

Nelson replied back, "Michael we will explore this." Explore it, Nelson did, and along the way wrote in several additional amenities that help and protect Pleasanton investment and interests.

I won’t hold my breath for this project to be completed, it’s Pleasanton under the current regime, and until we see the lite sign of Costco, it’s a far cry from happening- too much politics and very little interest in what the community voted for.
