We have always instructed our children to think for themselves, be conscious of their environment, surroundings & those around us. We also instructed them that under no circumstances were they to be forced into wearing a useless cloth/paper face diaper while in school. Through EXCELLENT legal counsel & a strongly & very clearly worded letter to the school board NONE of our children wore a useless muzzle while on campus. So yes, we are those “crazy Mexicans” responsible for all the commotion last year! We applaud the new guidance but regret that it ever happened.

So, to be clear, masks are not useless: Web Link

Masks are for others, they help to slow the spread. One wears them to prevent others from getting what you have, not the other way around, though it can help the wearer as well. Small price to pay to help everyone.

My suggestion to anyone who is anti-mask, next time you have surgery, please tell the surgeons and nurses and tech people in the room that they can all take off their masks, because you don't believe they work. Good luck to you with that.

to be clear no school district around us handed out cloth masks. That number 1.

Number 2: yeah, sure the district caved at your letter. If you had kids on campus, they wore a mask.

Good day.

Comparing wearing "Surgical mask" in surgery when you are open to infection compared to a "cloth" breath thru mask in public is really a dumb comparison.

I disagree. A mask protects others from what spews from your mouth, even if it's not a very good mask, it protects others. A surgical mask protects patients from a doctor's germs. It's that simple.

If masks works as you say they do then with this logic you should be demanding we wear masks all the time? We never did this with the flu. Furthermore, why don’t we place foam all around sharp objects, poles, and other obstacles in life? We should also wear helmets every day and gloves. If you believe that these paper napkins should be worn to protect you, then why wouldn’t you believe wearing one is good enough?

It’s really that simple when you think about it, read, and just look at the facts.

SFChronicle had that article that Alameda county had slightly LOWER cases per capita than Contra Costa (despite Alameda's recent mask mandate). [Article: Web Link

Ya'll neckbeards are jabbed and boosted and still want healthy children to mask up indefinitely. Don't trust the vax very much?

If you're scared or sickly stay home, the rest of us will live our lives!

blah blah ....."and just look at the facts."

the simple fact is masks did help reduce the spread of covid. Period.

How big the percent is something you can yell and scream about. Bottom line, they worked to reduce (not totally prevent) the spread.

Good day.

1) That article shows cases in Alameda County (mask mandates) were no higher than Contra Costa (no mask mandate)
2) Omicron death rates are very low, and next to 0 for kids
3) If you're vaxxed why do you care about covid; sounds like you don't trust the jab very much ;)

How long do you want to mask for? Feel free to wear one as long as you'd like.

You have no proof, except CNN telling you that ‘masks work.’

Please, wear your mask, but stop telling us to drink the cool aid.

the simple understood by majority is masks did and do REDUCE the spread of covid. That is a simple fact, even you, can research.

If you want to yell and turn red you are free debate just what percent that masks (not cloth) reduced the spread by.

Good day.
