All you have to do is look into their eyes! The innocent animals are forced into assaults and they are terrified!

Stop teaching our children that animals feel no pain at rodeos. Animals, like children, do not deserve to feel pain or be abused to entertain people. This is child abuse and animal abuse. Many countries have banned this barbaric event as it is just simply cruel. Look into their terrified eyes. You would not do this to your own dog, so do not do it to these innocent animals. I know it is a huge money maker for you all but now you need to choose humans only who actually agree to be there. This is very CRUEL entertainment and needs to be banned NOW. Rodeos are banned in many countries! Why? Because they harm animals! You would not treat your pet dog they rodeo animals are treated. Animals deserve to be in safe habitats where they are not used to make money for humans. Please stay home to help stop this barbaric event.

For most of these exploited and abused creatures, the rodeo arena is merely a detour en
route to the slaughterhouse.

  As a former bareback bronc rider, pathologist and large animal veterinarian, I have  both the  experience and  autopsy  proof that rodeo injures and kills animals. Dr. Robert Bay from Colorado autopsied roping calves and found hemorrhages, torn muscles, torn ligaments, damage to the trachea, damage to the throat and damage to the thyroid. These calves never get a chance to heal before they are used again. Meat inspectors processing rodeo animals found broken bones, ruptured internal organs, massive amounts of blood in the abdomen from ruptured blood vessels and damage to the ligamentum nuchae that holds the neck to the rest of the spinal column.

As a  former  criminal lawyer, children that are exposed to and participate in animal abuse often grow up to abuse humans. I have seen children cry at rodeos when the calves are roped and slammed to the ground. It is time for this archaic rodeo  "entertainment"  to end.

Regarding Eric Mills' "Rodeo cruelty and public safety:" Rodeos are a cruel “tradition” that have no place in today's society. Animals, terrified by shouting crowds of people, are chased in an arena, roped or grappled by a lunging human, and wrested or flipped to the ground, often injuring them. Even ranchers agree that they would never treat their animals so callously and inhumanely.

Rodeos are nothing but barbaric displays of sheer power and domination over other Earthlings: “We're going to chase, rope and throw you to the ground just because we're stronger and we can.” What type of message does this send to our children? If people treated their dog or cat this way they would go to jail. So why would we allow this for any other animal? What makes these creatures so much “less” in our eyes that we permit this?

Rodeo needs to end.
