Momentum builds for new Oakland A's ballpark, but hard work remains

Momentum is building to construct a new baseball stadium at Oakland's Charles P. Howard Terminal with the certification of a key environmental document Thursday night. But, hard work is ahead.

Thank goodness the idea of the A's moving to Dublin was quickly shutdown.
But as Alameda County residents we will all share the costs of this private endeavor in Oakland.
The A's are part of the reason for the baseball lockout, teams that tank, or owners who pocket their monetary resources without improving the teams, because there are no consequences to do so. They are raising their ticket prices once again, there are many unhappy season ticket holders, they will once again have one of the poorest attendance in baseball.
It also feels like Oakland and Alameda County are dealing with an ownership group that thinks the public owes them.
