California redistricting: What to know about the final maps

California voters have brand new districts they'll use to elect their members of Congress and state legislators, after the state's independent redistricting commission voted to approve its final maps.

I wish other states would follow California in having an independent commission draw these lines as opposed to leaving it up to partisan state politicians.
