This is another tragic event, like too many we hear about all the times.

I do not want to get into the pros or cons of freedom of buying/carrying guns.
I also do not want to debate the reasons/justifications of those who did harm. I am (we are) in no place to judge as I (we) do not know their story, their sufferings in life.

But I'd like to command those who wrote this article. Journalism have a responsibility in how a story is told. What I like about this one is the focus on the victims. For once, it doesn't give the spotlight to those who did harm, which may sometimes encourage others to do the same to get their own minute of fame or those who think that this is the only way to get people's attention.

If the media had such focus when leading the news instead of focusing on those who did what harm because "sensational makes money", I'd like to think that maybe others, in the future, would think twice and reconsider their act. I'd like to think that they would ask themselves "by taking those people's lives I am truly targeting the right people? What will I have accomplished and who will suffer because of me?" Such article, I would hope, makes those who thinks about taking others' lives think twice.

@CL. Well said. The media in this country is creating much of the havoc we see.
