I enjoyed the article on "Manners will take you where brains and money won't" by Donald James this week. I too came from a family that stressed manners and learning how to work with dignity.
I see Manners and household work lacking in todays world of too much video gaming and not enough learning how to make a bed, keeping your room neat as well as helping take out the garbage. Too many parents are not insisting their children do tasks around the house. I see my neighbors doing things that their kids should be learning and doing. Learn by doing builds self confidence and brings dignity to work and balance to other life skills. Thank you.
