Why change the name? This almost makes me sad. Although I'm not a member I have attended many functions there, including modeling a couple of times at club luncheons/fashion shows. This was all before the old Castlewood Country Club burned down. In El Cerrito there was "Mira Vista Country Club" where I have attended many functions, and had my wedding reception. Now they are "Berkeley Country Club." There is a lot of anger around that name change from persons who grew up in the Richmond/El Cerrito area. That club is not even IN Berkeley!!! Guess you can call me a traditionalist.
