"We don't know yet who we're bringing back, but that's a big component of this, is really thinking about who are the students that we want to target to receive these specialized supports," Diolazo said. "Students with disabilities, it's a range, it's a spectrum of services we provide … we're trying to determine who are those students that fit this model."

Again, what are they doing? There should already be a plan in place. Are they really just started now to determine which students fit this model?

Here's what I expect at some point in the future
ACPHD - "Schools can open tomorrow"
PUSD response - Tomorrow we will start planning on how to bring students back to school. In a month we hope to have a plan then we need to submit that to ACPHD. So its ACPHD's fault that we can't bring all students back for at least another 6 weeks.

This "new" program seems really great and all but is this not exactly what the 8 Kids Club programs across Pleasanton are already doing? It seems like this program may be geared towards children with special needs but that appears to be the only difference about it. As a parent of children that attend Kids Club I am worried that all of Kids Club's hard work and effort they are putting towards making sure my children are not only successful but safe and healthy is being overlooked. How are you exploring options and thinking about a "Pilot" program when Kids Club is PART of the same school district and has been running since Mid June? I agree with Lance M above that there should already be a plan in place for when we get the clear to open but it really bothers me knowing how stressed our amazing Kids Club staff is and how hard they are working and Dr. Haglund and his team seem to be passing off this "Pilot" program as their own idea. If they truly are exploring different options and looking to make these programs as clean, safe and successful as they say, they really should turn to the frontline Kids Club staff and see how they are running things. I do not know what I would be doing without the team at Kids Club. Knowing that I am able to drop my children off and they come home with most of their work completed and are so excited to be in a classroom setting makes me a very happy parent.

Open up the schools.

This is not working.

All data supports children being the least impacted group, let them learn.

Enough is enough already.
