Livermore native Pete Patterson running for City Council District 3

Campaigning for Livermore City Council District 3, resident Pete Patterson was inspired to run for public office for the first time to help his hometown continue to thrive and improve into the future.

Please note that both Bob Coomber and I are at-large Livermore Councilmembers who happen to live in District 3. While CM Coomber's at-large term is up and mine is not, both of us opted not to run this year. While I appreciate Mr. Walsh's careful article detailing my decision, I would also appreciate a revision to this article that includes BOTH current at-large councilmembers who live in District 3.

While we considered the additional background about your election status extraneous in the context of these two D3 candidate profiles and Coomber's expiring position (given our previously reporting on that topic being widely shared), I have nonetheless added an editor's note referencing that extra context and a link to our previous story.
