I am all for using Fed Funds for Local education in these times- but $90,000 for “hotspots” for Teachers?? Is this like $4,000 for military toilets?

If this amount was for families across the district without strong wifi connectivity then maybe... but how many teachers don’t have wifi at home?

Hopefully I read this wrong

Thats great,
But why isn't PUSD requiring classes to be recorded for offline viewing by students.
During this time when it is difficult to have in-person learning, and benefit from the classroom interactions / discussion / clarifications, it is important for teachers to prepare online materials for students to view offline and refer back to clear their understanding.
At the very minimum the class sessions should be recorded and made available to students for offline viewing.

Why can’t the teachers use the wifi in the classroom? Yes f the students aren’t there, they should be able to distance themselves from ea other

5.7.2 of agreement - daily instructional minutes for grades 4-12 is 240 minutes.

HPMS has 1 hr of Access Advisory class on Wednesdays during which kids are doing basically nothing. Obligatory attendance. Theres no instructional minutes on Wednesdays.
Why this gap between agreement and reality?
Am I missing something?

Don't miss out on the discussion!
