The Pleasanton community is mourning the loss of longtime police department volunteer and local author Annette Langer, who died in her home unexpectedly Sept. 3.

This is sad news. I was blessed to work with Annette as my contact with Pleasanton Police Department for several years. She was such a joy! I had no idea she wrote two books; I just went online and purchased them.

I am praying for her family and friends.
