The Tri-Valley's flourishing life sciences companies will be the focus of the second annual Tri-Valley Life Sciences Summit on Oct. 2 at Veeva Systems, 4280 Hacienda Drive in Pleasanton.

Average home price in Pleasanton is about 1.1 million dollars. They need to go slightly farther away to be an ideal location. Their employee's in some cases are going to need to come from as far as Tracy.

@Jerry, That 1.1 average home price is much less than on the peninsula, sf, or many areas of the South Bay. The people who work at these companies are a mix of professionals , some who live in the tri valley, some from Tracy, but many who can use Bart in from the city or reverse commute from Oakland or San Jose. If they were in Tracy there would be no way to attract the people needed. It really is an ideal location to get the specifically skilled scientists needed.
