Livermore: '4 Wheel Bob' blazes a trail

Bob Coomber was walking on a beach at Lake Almanor in 1989 when, as he puts it, "my left leg just kind of blew up."

Bob thank you for sharing your story I found it really interesting to read and how you progress through the different years. What's that old saying where there's a will there's a way my hats or after you you are an amazing man. You're an inspiration to all of us to keep going forward no matter what. I can't wait to see your documentary at the vine.

Always fondly recall and and relate Bob's trail work with Volunteers for Outdoor California at Brushy Peak a number of years ago. He and his wonderful wife were a joy at the project and the most inspiring hiking partners. A hike with Bob is the BEST hike.
