Somewhat lost in the sports news of the last couple of weeks was the decision of Stanford football star Christian McCaffrey opting not to play for the Cardinal in the upcoming Sun Bowl.

Dennis, I just saw this and it brought a mixture of smiles and tears as those were fun and exciting times and memories never to be forgotten. I, as well as the family, know it took a lot of strength, willingness and humility by all to allow the girls to do what they did. Elizabeth Stanley and team come to mind and what she/they had to "deal" with in allowing the girls to play as it was accepted that if there was a conflict, soccer took priority. Mike Milton and the soccer team were right up there as well. Thanks for a quick moment of beautiful memories. sigh.
