Just Wow. At DNC, No American Flags and No Mention of ISIS Yet

Original post made by ordinary joe, Amador Estates, on Jul 26, 2016

Just Wow. After 61 speeches thus far, there has been no mention of ISIS yet at the Democrat National Convention in Philadelphia. Also, no visible sign of an American flag on the stage. Yeah, the Democrats sure do love and want to protect America.

OJ, are you saying seeing Trump in front of a flag or hearing him rant about ISIS (or anything else because rant is all he knows how to do) builds confidence in his ability to govern or protect? I'm not a fan of Hillary either, but this is what elections often are--the best people often avoid the job.

Oh, and this: Web Link

Ironically a valid government issued photo ID is required to go into the convention.

I see a lot of coverage for 2012 on IDs. Nothing for 2016. Web Link It's for delegates anyway. Do you have some other link FWM?

@FrequentWalkerMiles

Yeah, I get confused telling apples and oranges apart, too.

These comments are not and endorsement of Trump!

1.The DNC process is set-up to allow the party to control who wins. If not the rules would have been changed this year.
2. Bren has no backbone and sold out his supporters
3. All they keep telling me is Trump shouldn't be president and all is well in our great land. Not buying the part about all is well.
4. ISIS is a problem and not addressed at all. An 85-year-old priest was killed today my ISIS. Could it be that most of the speakers at the DNC travel with heavenly arm details to protect them?
5. DNC keeps telling me they are the party of the middle class. So where are the middle-class speakers? I see Black live matter. No one is talking about the police who were gun down just doing their job. They have hired illegal immigrants to works at the convention to spot lite immigration. By the way, this is illegal. So maybe there is a double standard for the DNC.
I could keep going on.

I'm a middle-class white male with no party and no one in government cares.
Some will tell me to stop crying.
But I pay more taxes than most, I voluntary in the community, I give money, I have a small business that supports about 40 families directly, I served my country in a combat role and watched some my brothers not make it home.

The two things that hurt. Not sure why my friends died just to give away what they died for, and I'm not leaving a better country for my children.

We have some real problems and these are not the people who will fit them and that includes Trump.

The fact that the Democrats didn't mention ISIS nor display the American flag shouldnt be a surprise to anyone.

And Kathleen, if you think that the dems didn't require any identification to be able to enter that auditorium then, really, I'm speechless.

Wow.

The flag is there. I said the convention is for delegates, not the public. Proximity to big names; I wouldn't be surprised if attendees are vetted in some way. And why do we care if they are?

You said "I'm a middle-class white male with no party and no one in government cares. " and I had to laugh. That was hysterical.

Try being a woman whose but has been grabbed at work, yet her boss didn't care.
Try being an African-American male, who has a greater chance of going to jail then going to college.
Try being a socio-economically disadvantaged parent who, when they go to school for help with their child, they are told do just work with them more.

Thanks for proving white privilege.

By the way, my dad was in Vietnam, saw many of his friends die, paid a great deal in taxes because he was high up in a Fortune 500 company, volunteered numerous times at my school and as a coach. He would never play the "poor white me" card. Disgusting.

To Really,

Thanks for the feedback

You are part of the problem. Unless I agree with you I'm wrong.
No one has given me anything I got to where I am by one thing hard work.
Maybe a few others should try that path?

Do not reply I will not be wasting my time reading your reply.
