On announcing the endorsement Congresswoman Lee said, "I've known Nate for over 25 years from our early work together when he was on the Oakland City Council. Supervisor Miley and Congresswoman Lee have worked collaboratively together in Oakland and the unincorporated areas of Alameda County.
