Myth or Fact?

MYTH OR FACT

Myth - If I sign the petition and the issue of Lund Ranch goes to the voters it will stop completely stop the building of Lund Ranch.

Fact – If the issue goes to the voters it won’t stop the development from happening. The referendum will stop the current proposed development BUT the builder will come back in a year with a revised plan to build on Lund Ranch.

If the City of Pleasanton trys to stop the Lund Ranch development the developer – Greenbriar can sue the city as this development was granted and approved in 1991 and is part of the general plan. Another fact is this referendum will cost the taxpayers up to 247,000.00 (Alameda county charges our city for this) and all it will do is cause the developer to revise his plan to build on Lund Ranch which could actually increase the number of homes.
