Leading into the Falcon/Panther showdown, with 11-0 records, often times, expectations of an exciting game, do not materialize, into a viewing spectacular. In baseball, making an out, 7 out of 10 times, you are known as a great player. MJ missed 9000 shots, lost 300 games and missed 26 game winning last shots...his record speaks for itself. Years ago, the NFL/College played in a game prior to the regular season...a mismatch, to say the least.
The Falcon/Panther showdown was a competition between two public schools with great football tradition...they did not disappoint. For those who attended the game, from the very first snap, were exposed to character building situations, every minute. Playing together as one unit, both teams, was instrumental to the final outcome.
15 TD's , 6, 2 point conversions, 7 extra points and the end comes down too, a final 2 point conversion. Win or lose, these young man participated within a game of a lifetime...to only come down to one play, win or lose. Congratulations!!!
This article should not be about De La Salle, that is MJ stuff. But for those young man who play to take on the best, that competition has to offer, Thank You, for the most exciting football, I ever witnessed. The Falcons/Panthers played like the champions they are.
