Alameda County's unemployment rate now at 4.5%, below state's rate of 5.8%

The number of workers without jobs in California decreased last month from the previous month and the number of nonfarm payroll jobs increased.

What is the true employment/unemployment rate when you factor in the masses who have given up and left the work force?

I know plenty of people who are technically employed but who have to take lower paying jobs. How to lie with statistics 101 is what the unemployment rate truly is.
