Scouting for Food – Saturday, Nov 21, 2015
Most homes in Pleasanton, Dublin & Livermore will receive a door knob hanger this week, for Scouting For Food, which is on Saturday, Nov 21.
Scouting for Food is the Annual Food Collection for Local Food Banks and Charities by the Boy Scouts of America. Suggested Foods: Canned Goods (Tuna, chicken, fruit, vegetables, soups, chili, spaghetti, ravioli), peanut butter, Cereal, pop tarts, Pancake or Muffin Mixes, Crackers, cookies, instant soups, Rice or Beans, Pasta, Powdered Juice or Milk, Dried Fruits, Snack Bars or any other non-perishable foods, No frozen foods, no Open containers, no Glass containers.
The Boy Scouts Oath is “To Help Other People at All Times”, the Motto is “Be Prepared”.
The Twin Valley District of the Boy Scouts of America has over 3,000 youth members of Scouts Troops, Packs and Explorer posts in Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and Sunol. To find a scouting unit near you: www.beascout.scouting.org.
