1. Our water is now on well water. Try chinking off calcium and lime off of your just washed dishes.
2. Lake Del Valle is busting at the edges. Kayaked there last weekend. Does not belong to us. It belongs to Danville , San Ramon all but Livermore and Pleasanton and Dublin.
We only own water from Lake Oroville and ??? they are bankrupt of water.
3. The water treatment plant has never reached our neck of the woods as far as odor. It's now here.
4. I never want to leave this place. I love it. We have issues and the means I really hope to resolve this...

liberalism is a disease is a registered user.

Kim, I suspect no one wants to frack anywhere near where you are.

Let's be practical. Take our city parks for example. Ever notice the people using the outdoor toilet facilities? Who do they tend to be? And what do they tend to do? You got it. They drink the water and flush the toilets. And whose paying for that?

The last thing I think we need in this town is people coming all the way from Oakland to exploit our free water. Before we know it, we'll be overrun with these types. If it already hasn't happened. And don't get me started on low income housing.

One easy solution would be to have fee machines hooked up to water fountains and outdoor toilet facilities. This would cut down on all the "visitors" we're getting from Oakland, save water, and earn the city some much needed revenues which we're starved for on account of unpaid union teacher pensions and salaries.

Another thing would be to have automatic turn-offs for concerts in the park and other excuses for tribal hooliganism. If the concert is scheduled to end at 9 pm, then turn off the water fountains and toilets at 8:45. And turn on sprinklers at 9:05.

Think people! There are many practical ways to improve our city.

@WT, you went a bit over with turning off water in the parks. Where do you think they will then do what they would have done inside the toilets? Yeah, just like the streets of San Francisco.

I LOVE your idea about turning on the sprinklers in the park at 9:05 after the concerts. The idiots who have to be run out by the cops every Friday night should be taught manners and this would be one way to do it.
