Just to clarify, according to the Registrar of Voters, only three people have pulled papers - Bowser, Wright and Laursen. Only two have actually filed - Bowser and Laursen.

Gina,

Thank you. The two candidates are announced as stated.
They announced on or before July 28, 2014 as candidates for the
PUSD Board.

Michael, I understand they have made their intentions clear. However, they cannot be candidates if their names are not on the ballot, and their names cannot be on the ballot if they don't file.

I just wanted to make clear that, while they have stated they are going to run, it is not official until they file the papers.

Gina,

Thank you for making it clear. I really appreciate your input.

I expect they will get the papers then file the papers.
I, like a lot of other voters in Pleasanton are working to get
candidates on the ballot.

In my recent recruiting effort, I learned that teachers cannot
serve on the board, so cannot seek that office.
That was disappointing information.

How come teachers cannot run but their spouses can? We already have a board member who is married to a teacher who is in the union leadership.

How about "write-in" candidates....can that be done with PUSD board voting?
