Let's hope our Mayor and city council will attend, so we will hear some solutions to our water woes . Moratorium on new construction. Increase use of recycled water. Recognize those who conserve and those that don't get it! Let is know what you plan to do. Show you care

never say never...it possible to purchase teeny weeny bonsai containers to plant small plants that don't use up all the water:

Citizen, why don't you go and share with the Community, yourself? I will not be able to attend. Your time would be warmly appreciated by the greater Community, I'm sure. You could even ask, " How do you track water use, when your home is tied into a complex with one meter. Is this meeting, today, part of the $200,000 consultant marketing program, approved by our Citycouncil? " Your citizenship is important and valued. Thank you!

They act like the drought is going to last 40 years. You can still keep your lawn half way green by conserving 25%. I see water usage in So. Calif has gone up 13% from last year.

Ms. Sarah Sutton, "Creating better communities with Low Impact Development" 2010 American Society of Civil Engineers International, LID conference, was one of her speaking engagements, if this is the same person sharing Saturday. Young adults/high school/ college students may find Ms. Sutton interesting enough to share back to their/our Community of Pleasanton, within a language that could be understood by all ages. "Hint,hint." Oh well, thought it was worth sharing. Access to video taping was excellent idea.
Our Mayor, as an environmental engineer could promote video...as well.

Tom F., don't belittle yourself in the attempt to discourage others to engage issues that may or may not be useful within their lives. We have a lot of low information people everywhere. They may be experts in one field and not another. Maybe the Weekly or the City of Pleasanton could of marketed this talk differently...who cares. Simple information was provided for those who may be interested. Your not.
