Original post made on Jul 11, 2014

The Pleasanton school board held a special board meeting Friday morning and gave direction to legal counsel on the discipline, release or dismissal of a public employee.

Good Gish, what's going on now and why the secrecy? I swear that if mine weren't within a few years of being done, I'd move to Danville.

You mean the same Danville where a few years ago a high school principal was fired for pointing a squirt gun at a student. Enjoy that!

The way I read the article, a meeting was called at 7:30 AM because time was a factor, three of the 5 members attended and those present reached no conclusion.

Does this mean time has run out on how to act?

Is 7:30AM too early for some to attend? Or was 7:30AM decided on just to annoy some?

When is the lawsuit by the Principal scheduled for trial?

So many questions, so few answers, lol.

So many questions indeed. With so few answers.

And yet we are supposed to trust this district and smile when we drop off our kids at school in just a few weeks.

I am very happy that we have people in our community that are watching the school district. Up until the time of the dismissal of the principal at Walnut Grove, you would have thought we lived in a dream world.

Now we have dismissals, surveys for what the community wants for the school year but the superintendent and board do what they want, and now meetings that are not according to the Brown Act.

It is time that some type of action is taken at the upper level. When a child starts school they are given rules for what is expected of them, but our officials don't seem to think this is important and we as a community are letting them get away with all of their actions.

Start with a new superintendent and board.

More secrecy about a dismissal, and another incident indicating the PUSD administration and school board are out of control. Time to purge the superintendent and most of the school board.

I see the PUSD has a new job posting 7/1/2014 for a k-5 principal. Anyone know what that is about?

I thought the principal from Lydiksen got the curriculum director position so that would be an opening for K-5 principal.

It was announced that Lydiksen principal got the curriculum director job May 16 and the job listing for the k-5 principal says it was posted July 1. Seems odd when the original news story said they would look for a replacement immediately. It could be they reposed the job because they didn't get the candidate they wanted? It's all a guessing game because there is no transparency.

No informed person in their right mind would take a principal job in PUSD under the Ahmadi regime , a place where a principal has no district support to do his job

I think the previous poster is correct. What talented principal would want to work for Ahmadi and for a dysfunctional district with a revolving front door for its principals? They are leaving for good reasons even though we don't know the specifics due to the lack of transparency. SMH.

Let's see ...

Ahmadi, the Cabinet and School Board's track record speaks for itself.

A FEMALE principal at Hart survived a lynching by the union this spring after the Similar attempt on Mr. Vranish escalated.

A FEMALE principal was promoted from Lydikson to the district office.

A FEMALE principal replaced Mr. Vranish at Walnut Grove

No informed MALE person in their right mind would take a principal job in PUSD

If I recall correctly, last year (2012-2013) at least SIX male principals and/or vice principals in PUSD "jumped ship" and either retired (convenient) or if not eligible to retire, went elsewhere. I wondered at that time as to what was going on within the district? What did we the public not know or realize that those within district, i.e., men, did know (or perhaps they were forced out "quietly" and/or "saw the writing on the wall"). I had heard they were all well-liked. One high school principal with whom members of my family had interacted with a lot and he had done an extremely good job left! It was a shame to lose him . . . . PUSD's loss for sure. Seems to be a "danger in paradise" or what was thought of as "paradise"!

Aware said it all. The intelligent, well educated people of Pleasanton need to put that intelligence to work and demand the resignation of the entire school board and the entire management team in the district. None of them are worth keeping. Unless of course we want to keep spending money on lawsuits and expensive payouts.

After an entire lifetime of being dismissed from numerous jobs (and virtually every job I've ever had) -- incompetence, inability to work with others -- it gives me great pleasure to recommend that the same happen to others.

"The intelligent, well educated people of Pleasanton need to put that intelligence to work and demand the resignation of the entire school board" - wouldn't that be the same school board that was elected by the intelligent, well educated people of Pleasanton?

it nice that these posts often make me smile and/or laugh.

Right - did you just post that you got fired from almost every job you ever had? And for incompetence? I'm sorry, but I've never heard of such a thing. please give us more details...
