Very nice that the fireworks are returning.

On another note, bar the doors, keep an eye on the kids and your automobiles, and be prepared for the invasion of "fair scum".

So happy fireworks are back on the 4th. Lets hope security is super tight that night so we can continue to enjoy our hometown show!!
I agree with Fair Scum. We want to keep our hometown safe.

I cannot wait! The fair is always one of my favorite times of the year! So much to see, enjoy, buy, and...well, everything that comes up!

I'm especially happy to hear that the fireworks are back for the 4th of July. It's been too long!

Love the fair but it's a shame that us living in the neighborhood near the fair have NO parking for our vehicles. we lose our street parking for the length of the fair and get nothing in return. Just isn't fair. how about permits for us. why do I have to park 4 blocks away from my house while the fair is going on. oh wait, I will just park in the library lot-everyone else does and no one gets a ticket.

For some, it's New Years. For others, it's their birthdays. Everyone has a time to step back and reflect on the year that has gone by.

For me, it has always been the Fair. Another year. A chance to do things better than the last time. An opportunity for better luck. A time to be thankful for the stupid blind luck that fell in my lap.

And an excuse to eat a regular old deep fried corn dog, and pitch a penny into the waterfall.

Oh please stop complaining about your lack of street parking, It's a safe bet you KNEW this was going to be an issue when you chose to move so close to the fairgrounds. I'm sure you've parked in someone else's neighborhood before to avoid paying ridiculously high parking fees (haven't we all?) Works both ways.

Stella, depending on where you live I'll give you $5 to park on your lawn. That's a win/win!

Deceptive marketing on the Alameda County Fair's posters seen around town. Opening Day admission advertised as $1.00 with no asterisk that special pricing ends at 5:00 PM!!

Why not have a fair price to park $5.00 then there should not be a parking problem.
