BART names officer involved in fatal shooting

BART Police Chief Kenton Rainey confirmed on Monday that Detective Michael Maes, a law enforcement veteran, was the officer who fatally shot Sgt. Tommy Smith in an apparent accident during a probation search in Dublin last Tuesday.

Twenty-six years in law enforcement, suspect already in custody, a house full of police, oh, and no cameras.
