Pleasanton meat and fish market

Original post made by cdm, Downtown, on Dec 9, 2013

My wife and I frequently walk down Spring St. to Main St and have noticed that the meat and fish store on the corner of Main and Spring has a practice of tossing out discarded meat and fish boxes just outside the back door of the building.
We have mentioned this to a person who works in the store as to the health and safety issues during the warm Summer months and the just plain ignorance
of common decency to dispose of these boxes into a proper waste container but nothing has changed.
Does the City of Pleasanton have any health and safety ordinances about this kind of practice ?
Has anyone else noticed this as well?

No, I haven't noticed, but I've been in there a few times and there is an unpleasant odor in my opinion inside the store, that turns me off from that place.

I'm sure the city has the same or similar sanitation laws that other 1st-world cities around the globe do. Would you like me to call and find out for you, or would you rather do that yourself?

Was so happy to have a european-like butcher in our town. Bought chicken sausages during the first week they were open. Upon return home and opening the package the sausages were slimy! I notice boxes too
