Republican Party Seeks Genuine Intellectual Leadership: Limbaugh, Levin, and Palin Are on Tap

Original post made by Intrepid, Another Pleasanton neighborhood, on Aug 15, 2013

The Republican National Committee, expressing its dismay at the kinds of questions asked during nationally televised Republican debates, is looking to scrap the old model of having reporters and news personalities ask the questions at candidate forums.

Miffed that their candidates were singled out for personal questions on CNN John King’s “This or That,” when he asked candidates quirky questions like “Elvis or Johnny Cash,” GOP insiders have recently announced that they are considering other choices, even a panel of heavyweight radio intellectuals consisting of Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, and Sarah Palin.

They told Secrets that they are eager to bring in questioners who understand Republican policies and beliefs and who have the ability to get candidates to differentiate their positions on core conservative values. State Republican National Chairman Rince Priebus, "Our Party is in need of insightful, probing questioners, intellectuals, who can incisively cut through issues and get to the core: government tyranny. I can think of no one in our party more qualified to do that than Sarah Palin."

The move comes as several conservatives are pressuring the party to have Limbaugh, Hannity, Levin, Mike Savage and Sarah Palin ask the debate questions. “It makes a lot of sense. We’d get a huge viewership, they’d make a lot of news and maybe have some fun too,” said Priebus.

Sarah Palin, asked by reporters if she'd be interested, indicated she was intrigued by what is becoming a growing likelihood: "I'm quite flattered and almost nonplussed that my party, the party of patriots one and all, would appeal to my own mental leadership at a time when we need leaders of this great country like George Washington who sailed across the Delaware River in order to confront Generals Cornwallis, Lee, and King to move us away from big government while we grow businesses of mom and pop stores where freedom resides in the hearts of all who are tired of the opposition's efforts to tax each and every tried and true American citizen while mimicking King George and the other forces of terror and tyranny that have plagued our nation from Detroit to Chicago."

I hope she runs for something-- she is very entertaining!

I really enjoy the comic appearances of Barack, Pelosi, Boener, Biden, and little Harry Reid. There is a braintrust for you.

Intrepid, why are you so threatened by anyone to the right of Saul Alinsky? Please get over your seething hatred and revulsion for those of us that want to direct our country away from the drain it is currently circling. No wonder there is no compromise in govt any longer, with the likes of you poisoning the process.

It seems, more accurately, that the Republican Party is afraid of anything to the left of Franco or Pinochet. Such at least is indicated by the RNC's recent declaration that CNN and NBC will be excluded from the Republican Presidential Funny Debates. This, combined with the likes of the fascists Levin, Savage, Hannity, and Palin, provides ample indication of which party is running scared.

You don't even know what a fascist is, but nice try....demonize and's the leftists way of debating any issue.
So, let's bring back the impartial Candy Crowley to steer the debates the way the dems want. That combined with some puff pieces produced by the left wing media and you've got all you need to win over the low information voters (without an ID).

Our country started circling the drain before summer of 2008. I know how all you rethugs enjoy blaming Obama for Dubya's destruction that you cheer-lead.

Just because you aren't feeling it until now, doesn't mean it just started. Some of us have been feeling the effects for five years, ever since your dear leader was in power.

Quit your whining.
