Safeway receives 2013 Secretary of Defense Freedom Award

Pleasanton-based Safeway Corp. is one of 15 recipients of the 2013 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award. The Award is the DoD's highest recognition given to employers for exceptional support of National Guards and Reserve unit employees.

Thank you for this article that was reprinted on I shop at Safeway in Placerville and for many years either drilled at Camp Parks or in a Fresno unit headquartered at Camp Parks. I am now retired, but try to support all who support our military.
