On the day before Easter, Gov. Jerry Brown issued full pardons to 65 convicts who have “demonstrated exemplary behavior” since being released from prison.
Nearly a dozen Bay Area felons were among those pardoned who will have their full rights as citizens restored, including the right to vote,
according to documents released by the governor’s office on Saturday.
“Obtaining a pardon is a distinct achievement based on proof of a productive and law-abiding life following conviction,” a statement from the
governor’s office said.
Eleven Bay Area men and women from Santa Clara, Contra Costa, Alameda, Solano, and Sonoma counties were granted gubernatorial pardons over the weekend.
Their past crimes included drug possession, drug sales, robbery and vehicular manslaughter, according to the governor’s office.
All individuals granted pardons have completed their sentences and were released from custody without criminal activity for more than a decade.

I guess william tell doesnt believe in second chances. Obviously there is strict criteria involved in getting a pardon.
