Found: Grey Tabby Cat

Original post made by Worried Human, Jensen Tract, on May 7, 2012

She has a microchip that identifies her as "Moose" but the company says the number they have for the owner is disconnected. Maybe someone moved and the cat got out & got lost? She turned up about three weeks ago in the neighborhood across from Amador High School in Pleasanton. Very sweet and friendly, and really wants to come inside, but the resident cat strongly objects. If the owners or a good home can't be found by this weekend, she will be taken to East County Animal shelter, since the humans she has latched onto are going out of town. Email phaller@comcast.net to claim her!

Could you perhaps call the Valley Humane Society too? They sometimes have people coming in looking for a lost pet. We direct them to the East County Animal Shelter as a place to look, but if the owners only call VHS or their vet, they may not see the kitty once you drop her off at the animal shelter.

We took her to Valley Humane to have her scanned, so they have her info and so does East County. We're trying one last ditch effort to find the owners or a good home before we take her there. She's a very agreeable and adoptable sort, but we'd hate to run the risk that she goes unclaimed and gets put down.

Have you called local vets? They could have a more recent contact information.

Another suggestion to post Moose's info on Craigslist's page of lost and found pets. Hope Moose will be home soon!
