Found/Abandoned Dog...IN OUR BACKYARD Neal & Angela St.

Original post made by Nosy Neighbors, Pleasanton Heights, on Mar 8, 2012

This is one mystery that my wife and I will probably never solve. Last night, Tuesday March 7th we found a small, brown & white 6-8lb. Terrier/Chihuahua/Weiner dog cowering in the corner of our yard, in the general area of 500-600 block of Neal & Angela St. The yard is completely fenced & we have two small dogs so how this little girl got in makes it a complete mystery.

She may have been in our yard as early as Tuesday as we recall our dogs acting strange in that area that night.

If you know this dog or it's owners please contact us at

The good news, "Penny" was reunited with her adoptive parents earlier this morning. Deep down we were sad to see her go (kinda got attached to the little bitch) but happy to see her reunited with adoptive parents.

As I was putting up "Found Dog" posters in he neighborhood I finally saw the fairly similar, "Lost Dog" posters. Being the Mensa candidate I strive to be put 1 & 1 together, added it up on my calculator & came to the obvious conclusion. I shouldn't have used comic sans font.

So yes, the parents were from a..."protected/entitled" demographic. This is the lone Nosy Neighbors posting where I will suspend all my socio-political preconceptions and put my faith in human nature, hope for the best and refrain from drawing any conclusions. That is only until "Penny" shows up waltzing down the street by herself again, then we buy a new doggy bowl & some fur die.

Kudos to the Tri-Valley Rescue folks who were incredibly positive in working with all parties and promised to monitor the ongoing situation. Now everybody go home, rub your dogs belly, take them for a walk & PLEASE, make sure the gate is closed OK?

@lonnie really? Not everything is political. I hope they find the cute dogs owners
