Obama as Hitler at the Post Office

Original post made by hoops, Mohr Park, on Dec 7, 2011

I went to the post office several times in the last week and there were people set up next to the driveway with signs of Obama looking like Hitler. They were supporters of Lyndon Larouche which says it all.If you do not like Obama then vote him out of office but have a little respect and knock off the hitler references.People do not need to see that garbage on the streets of Plesanton.I am so disgusted with our political discourse that I can barely stand to watch it anymore.Alot of hatred and not a lot of facts.

Seems to me Woody Allen summed this up pretty well in 1973 (not that he would have been the first) in 'Sleeper':

Keaton: "Miles, Erno's going to lead the revolution and head the new government."

Allen: "Look, don't you understand? In six months, we'll be stealing Erno's nose. Political solutions don't work. I told you that. It doesn't matter who's up there. They're all terrible."

After any election, some percentage of the population will be unhappy with the final results; and some percentage of those unhappy people will do something to "protest" or will use the same "protest" as the last group of unhappy people.

As I left the parking lot, after dropping off my property taxes, I stopped and asked the what their beef was. I girl stated the they were seeking petition signers for the purpose of impeachment based on diminished capacity provided for in the 25th amendment. How ironic...

Don't pay attention to it. People love to pick a villain.

Look who is responsible for the Volkswagen or 'Peoples Car' and the Autobahn. He also built needed dams, railroads (he planned a broad gauge railroad, 3 metres wide, but war disrupted its building), rocket engines, jet propulsion, almost full employment, and his policies emphasized the importance of family life.

The number of people allegedly murdered? Presuming the figure of 11,000,000 (Six Million Jews, Five Million others you never hear about because they don't own the press) is correct, that total is four times less than Josef Stalin, our wonderful compatriot in WWII.

I am an Obama voter who has severe buyer's remorse and hope and pray he gets voted out every day, however, the comparisons to Hitler are ridiculous. I have no idea what one has to do with the other. Do I support Obama's politics? No. Can I compare him to a mass murderer? No. Ridiculous to compare the two, and I don't get it.

It is curious, we are privileged to live in a country that allows open, free expression, and yet many who loudly assert their right to free speech would silence those that they disagree with or find objectionable. To be offended by the NAZI label is reasonable, to attempt to silence or ban the La Roluche crowd is to prove their point. Let them speak, allow their insane ranting, and thereby expose them for the lunatic fringe crackpots that they are. As for me I look forward to the president's moving into political oblivion.
He is no NAZI, socialist, yes. But until defeated, he is our president, and as such deserves our respect, if not our support.

Maybe the reference to Hitler stems from Obama's disdain for the nation and leader of Israel, out of his own mouth, caught on tape. Its just free speech expression, ignore it if it bothers you.

Consider the source first kiddies. Lyndon Larouche has been a pimple on the ass of the political landscsape for over 30 years. Now associated with a far right wing agenda he actually began as a far left-wing, conspiracy theory slinging, "New era Roosevlt-esqe" hero of the little man.

He is for all intents and purposes a complete nut job that has less than zero credibility and even less influence than your local dog catcher would have on the political scene. The stunts he pulls and the people that support him (try to engage one of his "supporters" next time and the battle of wits will be over in less than a minute btw...) are don strictly to outrage and incite both sides of the political fence.

Go away Lyndon! Shooo! Scat!

Obama's views on Israel have little to do with the LaRouchie Obama Hitler image. They are anti-Semitic themselves; still steeped in conspiracies about the government being controlled by British Zionists and Obama being a puppet of said Zionists.

What gets me is all the posters who claim they voted for Obama but won't do so again. Were you so stupid the first time around that you weren't able to read about and hear his agenda? I guess you must have been, because now you're saying that you're disappointed because he has attempted to carry out his agenda. With this level of stupidity among the populace, it's not surprising we get the democracy we deserve.

I think the Hitler signs are as disgusting as flying a Confederate flag. Surprising it isn't stopped. My husband's family were part of the German's who helped Jews escape Hitler and fought against the Nazi's within Germany - and paid twice for it. Hitler mock-ups are NOT Free Speech. They mock the seriousness and hate shown during the holocaust.

There is free speech, and then there is reckless rhetoric. It's clearly the latter. The comparisons to a despot are extremely inappropriate and doesn't say much about those who express them, except that they are probably lacking attention at home.

Some people really just don't get it. It isn't a matter of whether it is applied to Bush or Obama. Both are public figures, and one was a war criminal. But neither the war criminal Bush nor Obama's actions can come close to what Hitler and his followers did. To use the imagery of naziism in such a cavalier manner indicates a gross and disgusting refusal to accept the utter horror and inhumanity of the holocaust.

America is socialist. The entire civilized world is socialist. The happiest countries are the most socialist. Socialism is not a naughty or nasty word or world. It is a place where everyone can be taken care of so we are not burdened by the crime of the desperate downtrodden or knuckled under by the wealthy with the means to exert their personal will. Obama is on the wealthy side with a conscience for the weak. The left does not like him and niether does the right. Bush was decidely right and for the rich. Anyone decidedly for the poor and against the rich would be an opposite of Bush and Obama is certainly not that. Hating the middle/Obama shows contempt for equality from both sides. No one has ever said the rich can not get richer, just pay for the just desserts afforded by all who perpetuate the "socialist" conditions that allow for the personal choice of wealth or poverty. Stuck in the middle of an obviously socialist America again and grateful for all the amenities that affords every American...Please do not rob me, nor use your superior financial position to defraud. Bush invaded a country for wealth/imperialistic vision/revenge sorta hitlery, Obama not so much yet.

Bush admitted using water boarding, clearly an act of torture that violated Geneva Convention and all human moral sensibilities. Bush lied when he assured the American public that there existed incontrovertible evidence that Saddam had WMD. Analysts at every level expressed doubt. Bush knew there were grave doubts. Yet he insisted the evidence was irrefutable. He therefore lied to the American public, many times, and his lies resulted in at least one hundred thousand deaths, including nearly 5000 US military.

Bush was a war criminal. He was no Hitler. Hitler was responsible for killing millions of innocent people. How was Hitler able to do this? Hitler preyed upon intellectually feeble minds such as that of AnnaS above.

Obama is not a socialist and Bush was not the evil man that only cared about the rich at any cost. They both made mistakes. They both have their view of the world. They were both influenced by the people around them. What the country needs is for 25% of the people furthest to the left and the 25% furthest to the right to abstain from politics and let the people in the middle that can actually talk to one another and compromise on the issues fix them. Our political leaders have to act like grownups pretty quick or we are going to dig a hole so deep that we will be happy to be Greece. It really is not that difficult to solve our problems if we would eliminate all the B.S,greed and self interest.Just reading the posts on this website leaves little hope of that happening. When did we all become so self-righteous and unable to compromise on our OPINIONS,yes our OPINIONS of what needs to be done.

Yes I saw these people in Livermore and they had a sign with Obama as Hitler taped to the mail offices light pole. So I asked him what he was doing and he said it's freedom of speech. So I told how about this for free speech. I said something like ( it was 6 months ago) you dumb stupid idiot and a few other harsh words without touching him. They can dish it out but not take it, because during my free speech the two woman with him starting saying call the police. When I thought free speech was not illegal apparently only if it's there speech. I then proceeded to take down the Hitler poster from the pole and walk away. Figuring if one can hung a poster on a public pole then I can take it down. Anyway I walked across the street and around the corner with the Obama hater following me. I turn the corner and there's a cop giving someone a ticket. So after telling the cop what was going on the cop starts asking him if he wanted me arrested. He says but the cop kept asking him but he didn't this was not right. The guy took my picture with his cell phone and left. This would be the short version.

Steve Anderson of Livermore. Thanks for relating your story to us. I did something similar about a year ago. I ripped a Hitlerized Obama poster out of the hands of a Tea Party activist. He tried to take it back and must have gotten a paper burn. He and the three-cornered hat crowd started chanting "Assault! Assault!" I tossed the poster into my car and drove away, leaving the sickies behind. Five minutes later I tossed the poster in the trash where it belonged. The poster was an offense to all good people, to Obama, and especially Jews. Any attempt to rationalize or apologize for such sick expressions of Naziism -- they did it to Bush too! -- is sufficient evidence of how Nazi-like thinking remains entrenched among a small segment of our society.

You rejected the comments that Bush suffered the same treatment, comparing it to "Nazi-like thinking." ("Any attempt to rationalize or apologize for such sick expressions of Naziism -- they did it to Bush too! -- is sufficient evidence of how Nazi-like thinking . . . ") Never mind the references to three-cornered hats or sickies. It's not rationalization or apologizing--it is just as appalling a fact as the fact it is happening now with Obama. So we agree, I hope, that it is offensive no matter the person being portrayed as Hitler.

Quote from the small-minded lady who can only think about matters in terms of how's this going to affect her pocketbook: "After any election, some percentage of the population will be unhappy with the final results; and some percentage of those unhappy people will do something to "protest" or will use the same "protest" as the last group of unhappy people."

That's the best she had to offer. "Hey," she tells us, "it's no problem. Just people protesting." Then a bunch of right-wing goons attempt to deflect the Hitler imagery from the real issue: Hey, they did it to Bush too! Several posters, including myself, underscore how it isn't a matter of Bush or Obama so much as how it cheapens our collective memory of the holocaust. Then the small-minded lady jumps on board and fires her little scattergunned mind in any number of directions.

Her attempt to salvage a smidgeon of dignity for herself fails once again. She's a shallow dolt who has little to offer beyond telling us who was on the school board ten years ago. Ideas? Forget about it. Retired early with a posh pension, and all she does now is squat on these sites complaining about the pensions of others. A real dish, this one.

"Any attempt to rationalize or apologize for such sick expressions of Naziism -- they did it to Bush too! -- is sufficient evidence of how Nazi-like thinking remains entrenched among a small segment of our society." These are my words above.

Notice how Kathleen Ruegsegger and Stacey spill all over themselves every which way to criticize me while ignoring their right-wing, neoNazi friends and allies -- Steve the Sick, 'final solution', AnnaS, Hitty. KR feels she needs to say something of a 'moral' flavor after her first post, which was so utterly morally vapid as to make any decent person recoil in revulsion. Then she attempts to save face, not by going after the neoNazis on this thread, no, because they are after all her political friends and allies. Instead, she attacks the writer of the above quote. Sick.

Then the cloying one, Stacey, slithers out from her rock to defend her idol, KR, who she realizes, after reading her morally vapid remarks, is in need of face-saving support. Does she criticize the neoNazis? Nope. Her and KR are too intimately bound up with that crowd. They are all birds of the same feather. Cuckoo-Cuckoo.

So, if it's right wing goons this time; just who was it when the subject was Bush? Any flavorful descriptions for that group? I should clarify, Gollum, that behaving badly on these posts is just as unacceptable and offense as using Hitler. Jane has absolutely nothing in common with Steve Anderson. Notice how the morally vapid Jane continues to cheapen this thread by ignoring the very real danger posed to individuals by the LaRouche political cult. She finds Hitler posters offensive yet is unable to formulate any words condemning the group that was involved in the murder of British student Jeremiah. Her sicko defense of convicted criminal LaRouche, by way of focusing the discussion on this thread on Jane's personal hatred of Kathleen and others here, shows that Jane agrees with LaRouche on a great many things, including the use of Nazi-like violence for political expression.

Hoops, Lonny is a ruse, posted probably by one of the many right-wing sickos who are Hitler sympathizers. (See Steve the Sick, AnnaS, Hitty, final solution, and their apologists, Stace and Fat Kath.)

Stacey the Slitherer, writing in defense of Kathleen the Clown, earns $.35 from KR for every pro Kathleen post she offers. Stacey the Slitherer condemns someone for wrenching the Obama-as-Hitler poster out of the hands of a LaRouche-tea bagger activist, and then she condemns him for not criticizing LaRouche-tea baggers. Bottom line, she's an embittered old hag who has been bested so many times by myself and others that she cannot contain herself from lashing out whenever she feels an opportunity presents itself.

Then there's the priceless one. Want yet another example of moral emptiness? Here goes: the Fat Kath states, "behaving badly on these posts is just as unacceptable and offense[sic] as using Hitler." You see, she calls somebody else Gollum, I call her a clown, and she likens _my_ behavior to that of the right-wing sicko who holds the Obama-as-Hitler poster. She thinks they are equal in comparison. Just goes to show you that she has no clue how offensive the Obama-as-Hitler poster is to anyone who feels they have any (human) connection to the atrocities of the holocaust. But in narcissist Kathleen Reugsegger's estimation, someone calling her a clown is just as offensive as invoking in a cheap and morally depraved manner memory of the holocaust. Guess we have a pretty good idea of her, um, morals.

In short, both these queens of cuckoo care nothing about anything but themselves. They both plop themselves down in front of the computer all day long and into the evening, and attempt to 'make a name' for themselves through vicious gossip and defense of the right-wing sickos who frequent these pages. Call them morally depraved, and watch the two slithering squatters team up to defend themselves, at $.35 per pop. (KR, I think your sychophant follower deserves a raise!)

Hoops, Wyatt is Cameron using another name on the same thread. This is a contest to Wyatt who is Cameron who is Jane who is Mr. Slippers. It's a one person competition, despite his multiple identities. Even if you agree, he will twist your words so he can write five or six more paragraphs of insults.

Yes, [put your latest name here], when your aim is to insult, it makes no difference if the target is another poster ("right wing sickos, Hitler sympathizers, slitherer, clown, embittered old hag, fat, queens of cuckoo" and that's just from the last post) or a president--the actions are offensive.

And you have the gall or stupidity to critically allude to Hugo Chavez? But, then, you've already demonstrated for all to witness where your moral sensibilities lie.

I'd hate to think there are two or more of you that write exactly the same way. We could ask the Editors to check; they have taken down posts by one person under more than one name. Already replied about this topic. Pinochet isn't mine. I know, I know; Hugo is just Robin Hood, just like the Castro brothers and their other pals.
