Pleasanton legislator holding job fair Friday for former Solyndra employees

Original post made on Sep 20, 2011

Assemblyman Bob Wieckowski (D-20th) is joining with an Alameda County workforce group to sponsor a special job fair Friday for former employees, vendors and contractors of Solyndra, a Fremont-based solar panel manufacturing company that recently laid off 1,100 employees and filed for bankruptcy.

My heart goes out to the employees, of Solyndra, goes to show how much we can trust decisions made by the Goverment, Solyndra should not have been given the 565 Mil, Solyndra is guilty too for taking it when they knew that they were on shaky ground, but I suppose they felt good that the Messiah said they were the future of America, truly sat situation, I hope that they can locate work soon.

Let's get clear. Private business is completely blameless in this. The hard-working, job-creating heroes at Solyndra were very up front with the feds about the company's weak prospects. Like Obamacare, the company had the 500 mil shoved down their throats. They didn't want it, didn't claim they wanted it. This is a clear example of the oppressive Marxist Obama regime trying to tear down this great country of ours by exploiting our job-creating heroes.

Leland....?????do you have something to tell us that hasn't been made public? Obama MADE Solyndra take that money, against their demands?
Please, give us more information. Write your congressman and let him know too. Perhaps congress should be aware.

Dear dknute,

Ever since I inherited hundreds of millions from my Daddy, I have had no need to write my congressman. Simply stated, given my campaign contributions, other political donations, and coterie of employees who lobby in Wash DC on my behalf, all I need to do is consult my rolodex and I can talk personally to several dozen legislators by phone in a single afternoon.

As far as Solyndra goes. It was a private company, formed by job-creating heroes. If they failed, it was unarguably because of too much government interference. Private companies never attempt to oversell themselves. When Obama gave Solyndra the money, it was entirely against their will. It was all part of Obama's plan to take tax payers to the cleaners.

Solyndra turned out to be one expensive photo op for the amateur in charge. Scoring political points with greenies and environazis these days runs about half a trillion. Must be inflation.......

Ah, Steve, you show such class. "Environazis." How very clever of you. Did you think of that yourself? So, environmentalists are just like Nazis right? Such a bright fellow you are!

I'm more concerned once again with the accuracy of Mr. Bing's reporting. This event in NOT Assemblymember Wieckowski's event. This is an Alameda County Workforce Investment Board event that doesn't include any sponsors. So basically the title of the story is completely false. If the weekly was mislead that's one thing, but pick up the phone and check facts.

Hey there all you so-called "civil" right wingers who get so offended when a leftist exposes the idiocy of so many of your claims. How about not piling on with respect to Steve's disgusting attempt to draw a correlation between environmentalists and Nazis?

Oh, I see. In fact, you haven't piled on, at all. Steve's attempt is okay and doesn't warrant condemnation because it doesn't expose the limits of your own truncated views of the world. (But of course it does exactly that, as does your silence.) Nice.
