As a corollary to the claim that the market trumps morality, I will be interested is seeing how teaching staff deal with their non-teaching staff colleagues.

It makes sense to do the shorter school year rather than lay off non-teachers if it comes to it.

Yes, they are open to the public. Though it is not infrequent for some people to give other people dirty looks.

Why can't the District tell where the 6.79 million was spent? Why haven't they already sent their staff to ethics training? Maybe they should send them to accounting training too.

I thought they said if there was a parcel tax passed, they could be able to tell where it was spent on specific programs. Since they can't tell us where the 6.79 million went, was that all PR fluff? I mean, Peachtree Accounting software could tell you that. Do they even have some sort of automated accounting system or not?

Ethics and accounting training would just be another union way to bilk the taspayers. Some veriant of croney capitalism that includes the unions. Stacey, wherre are you keeping Arnold?

The district is in need of some serious oversight until we hire people qualified to do the job we pay them so dearly to perform.

Mike is right. We should ignore the consulting job that already has been commissioned, as well as the oversight committee. We need to have more taxpayer input from guys like Mike who have not clue as to what has happened already, and who wish to go through the process once again. Way to stay on top of the issues, Mike!

Seamus,

I would argue that what has been done to date has not been sufficiently effective.

"I would argue that what has been done to date has not been sufficiently effective."

I would call that an understatement since they still can't say where the money went.
