Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley today, but that could be the last of the sunshine for quite a while.
The National Weather Service is calling for rain starting tonight, with a 70% chance of heavy showers starting Friday and lasting at least through next /Wednesday.
Today, the Tri-Valley is expected to grow progressively cloudier as the day wears on with a high temperature of just 52 degrees by mid-day. Lows in the 40s and east winds of 5 to 15 mph are anticipated.
Although high temperatures will continue to reach into the 50s, the Weather Service forecasts a wet and windy weekend.
