McNerney bags it for Safeway's MDA Fundraiser

Original post made on Sep 7, 2010

Congressman Jerry McNerney (D-Pleasanton) works with checkout associate Maria Montes to bag groceries for customers at Safeway's supermarket in Pleasanton to help raise funds for Safeway Foundation's Muscular Dystophy drive. See story in adjoining column.

Safeway's regular baggers are more competent with their jobs than Jerry is with his. I hope Jerry was taking notes on proper bagging strategies because he may need these skills in looking for a job after November.

I hope the Safeway employees realize that Jerry's main goal is to place them all on welfare given that they are working for an "evil" private sector company, according to democrats.

He must be defeated in November for America to recover.

So where was Harmer? Oh, that's right, he does not even live in District 11, so he would have no interest in helping out a Pleasanton business.

Jerry McNerney has done a fine job of representing the reality based community here in Pleasanton and will continue to represent us come November. I greatly appreciate all his efforts directed towards our veterans who were ignored during the Bush times.

I was there yesterday. Jerry bagged my groceries, then I shook his hand and I said: "Congressman, thank you for your work against job outsourcing. You got my vote." It's comforting to have someone focusing on American jobs, rather than how to make Corporations even richer, and help send our jobs to China and India.

HHR,
You are such a flaming idiot who chooses not to see the abject job destruction that the Congressional Democrats...especially McNerney...are responsible for.

There is NOTHING that Congressional Democrats have done to create private sector jobs. Their policies of continued government dependence will further destroy our already fragile economy.

You say McNerney will stop job outsourcing. You are only half right. He will stop more jobs...period...(except government jobs). More government jobs are unsustainable.

Wake up.

(If I recall, however, I believe you are pro-union...and may be a union member yourself. I have nothing against rank-and-file union members however your bosses have robbed the citizens and the private sector of life-blood. Obama and McNerney are hurting the middle and lower class immensely.)

What robbed the citizens of this country was the deregulation that culminated during the Bush regime. That immoral practice gave banks and Mortgage companies a green light to swindle citizens. That added to the trade imbalance with China, and 8 years of Bush stupidities, brought us to where we are today.

I don't particularly love Obama, I personally think he is too soft on Right wing nuts. We need somebody who really is capable to put all conservatives in their place (hopefully deport you all to Texas and Alaska - keep all you lunatics in the same place)

So you, Obama and McNerney want to put me in my place, eh?

Why waste so much energy if you'd like to be with your own kind? Just simply move to Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, Somalia, etc.

It would be so much simpler. My heels are digging in and I am prepared to battle against people like you.

Perhaps once the Obama tax credits for business RD (that the Republicans are already going against even though they've always been for it) passes, some Pharmaceutical company will come up with some kind of Imodium for the brain. It'll be a success for Conservatives' constipated minds.

I wonder if Jerry bagged any tea! If so, would that make him a tea bagger? Sorry.

I don't know about that, Aryoyo, but he packed my peanut butter and cat food in plastic bags, just like I asked. Such a nice man!

Yesterday they were giving away recyclable bags instead of using paper or plastic. I got one when I was there. Someone is making up stories.
